Fishing Waters Heidelberg Area Special Report
We can help! Once you obtain your license, we can locate the right place in Germany for you to include the type of fish and points of contact. We know of over 400 fly fishing destinations in Germany that sell daily permits or let you fish if you stay in the local gasthaus. Additionally we know of 600 locations in Bavaria alone the allow fishing of one type or the other. Remember, if you are stationed in Germany or on temporary duty over 90 days you must obtain a German license through the U.S. military.
Right now, the first step is to contact
your local Rod and Gun Club, Outdoor Recreation Center, or Hunting and Fishing Coordinator
(many of these offices have fishing rights in local waters).
They will have information on when fishing classes are scheduled in your area. Once you
successfully pass the test you are on your way. Tutoring services are available if you
think you may need them.
You may be missing the best fishing you will ever know.
